The Morocco Football Federation has tabled a series of conditions, for her participation in the 2022 African Nations Championship, set to be held in Algeria from January 13 to 4 February.
Morocco’s FA President, Fouzi Lekjaa has condition that ,the Atlas Lions national football team be able to travel, on a direct flight via the Moroccan national aviation number one(Royal Air Maroc). From the nation’s political city of Rabat to Constantine, the host city of their fixtures.
Failure is to meet up with this demand, will lead to their non-participation in the Algerian African Championship fiesta.
The Moroccans are the reigning African champions of the competition. And are lodged in the same pool along side, Ghana, Sudan and Madagascar.
Morocco military and commercial aircraft have been prohibited from Algerian airspace, since the two neighbors severed diplomatic ties turn sour.
Their dispute is associated to a plethora of reasons, notably the contested Western Sahara, a territory that Morocco annexed in 1975 and that Algeria backed Sahrawis have long sought independence for.
