Zambian midfielder Enoch Mwepu, was in glee after receiving a letter,a jersey and a World Cup ball, on November 3,2022 , from FIFA’s President Gianni Infantino, following his premature retirement from football.

Enoch’s promising career had came to an end in October, following the diagnosis of a hereditary heart condition.

The President of the Football Association of Zambia, Andrew Kamanga, and FIFA’s Director Member Association of Africa Gelson Fernandes presented the 2017 U-20 AFCON champion, with the gifts in London with Enoch Mpewu acknowledging the gesture on social media stating « greatly humbled ».

The Lusaka boy nicknamed  » Computer  » , for his incredible reading of the game, well-weighted passes, and eye for goal first came into spotlight at the 2015 U-15 African Cup of Nations in Niger, where he flashed brilliance despite the Junior Chipolopolo early exit from the competition.

A fine formed player for the English side, Brighton Albion, Enoch had played six games for the Seagulls, before medical advice prompted the Zambian star midfielder to hang his boots definitely.
