Portugal opened her World Cup campaign in Group H, by obtaining a hectic 3-2 win, against the Black Stars of Ghana, on Thursday, November 24,2022 in Qatar.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to score in five World Cup finals, when he tucked away Portugal’s first goal from a penalty spot at the 65th minutes.

Andre Ayew’s equliser briefly looked like it would spoil Portugal’s fiesta, but a quick reaction from Joao Felix at the 78th minutes and substitute Rafael Leao’sat the 80th minutes each, took the Portuguese on 3-1.

Osman Bakari’s scintillating 89th minutes puller came via a header, as the score went to 3-2.Portugal held on through nine minutes of injury time to impatiently seize the lead in Group H. After South Korea and Uruguay played a goalless draw.

The next game for the Black Stars of Ghana will be against South Korea on Monday,November 28,2022.Winners Portugal clash against Uruguay .
