Obuasi East Municipal Chief Executive Faustina Amisah has encouraged more women to get involved in Sporting activities, adding that this will pave the way to meet new opportunities in life.

Speaking at the commissioning and handing over ceremony of the Boetey town park in Obuasi, the MCE charge Women in the country especially in the Obuasi municipality to get involved in Sporting activities.

“I want to encourage my fellow Women to get involved in Sporting activities in our communities most especially in this municipality”, she stated

“Sometimes, we leave all the work for the men to do and still complain that we are being left out”,

According to her, gone are the days when we believed sports was for men are long gone.

“Those days that we believed that sports were for men are long gone, We are in a new era where women are also fighting for top positions in sports”.

“It is not going to be easy to fit in a male-dominated field but we are already in, we should try as much as possible to register our presence and compete for positions”, She added, encouraging women especially the youth to braised themselves for the tough available opportunities.
