Newly  appointed Coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu on Thursday afternoon was received with a shock news by Ghanaian’s football community.

Mere hours after the Tarkwa side confirmed the departure of coaches Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong, out of nowhere the eccentric and audacious Osei- Fosu’s name was plastered all over social media.

His arrival may have been unexpected, but he has the wherewithal to thrive in his new environment. To achieve this, he will need to strengthen the depth of the Medeama squad.

Here, we look at four players he will be pressuring the club to bring to the club this transfer window.

Frank Amankwah (Techiman Eleven Wonders)

With uncertainty surrounding players like Justice Blay and Richard Boadu, Osei-Fosu could turn to his former midfielder Frank Amankwah to fill the void to be vacated by the aforementioned duo.

The gaffer seemed to take a liking to Amankwah during his time at the club as well. Don’t be surprised to see Frank Amankwah in Medeama’s Mauve and Yellow jersey next season.

Welbeck Takyi (Tano Bofoakwa)

Medeama Sc boast an enviable array of riches in attack but a move for Welbeck Takyi could be interesting. This is likely due to his technical ability in terms of dribbling, passing and scoring, as well as his quickness.

His ability to change games in an instant may well get some Premier League sides sniffing around.

Akese Akese ( Nzema Kotoko)

Yes, he may be plying his trade in the Division One at the minute but hear me out on this one. Akese Akese is playing way in a division way below his ability.

A fine eye for a pass and a set-piece taker too, he could be the wildcard at the too level for Medeama SC.

He has plenty to learn and improve on but in a side where he would be encouraged to use his shooting and passing skills, he could step up yet another level.

Samuel Boakye ( Techiman Eleven Wonders)

Samuel Boakye has long been a favourite of Osei-Fosu but it is open to debate whether he would be up to the job at Medeama. He is insanely a gifted footballer who possesses the flair and spark that separates special players from mediocre players.

He loves to take on defences with his dribbling ability along with his breathtaking consistency and reliability. He played a pivotal role as the Techiman side survived the drop.

A move for someone like Samuel Boakye might not be completely out of the question.
