The Indomitable lioness’ defender Estelle Johnson plying her trade for Gothman FC, on Friday, December 2,2022 penned a two-year deal, with the NWSL side North Carolina Courage.
The 34 year -old sweeper played 15 matches for Gothman FC in 2022 , owning 1,300 minutes with 47 clearances, 16 blocks and 26 interceptions.
She posted a 42.1% tackle success rate, won 49.3% of duels and 62 % of aerial battles. Johnson connected 538 of 654 total passes for an 82.3% success rate. Signing Johnson brings the North Carolina Courage club, list to seven players of eight different nationals.
Johnson has been representing the Indomitable lionesses since 2019,in all of the major competitions. She played four matches in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup with team Cameroon, where they were booted out by England at the round 16.
