Coach Agbor Ernest has emerged as a possible option for a queue of clubs on the continent after his contract expiration at Cotonsport of Garoua.

The trainer officially left Cotonsport in the middle of last week and he is now un-attached.

Sportglitz.com has learned of offers coming the gaffer’s way from top-tier sides in Zambia, South Africa and Swaziland.

58-year-old Ernest marshalled Cotonsport to a TotalEnergies CAF champions league return after a 5-year absence.

With a relatively youthful side, the Garoua-based outfit couldn’t work miracles in group B filled with heavyweights, including Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Hilal and Al Ahly.

After the champions league campaign, coach Agbor’s stint came to an end.

For starters, coach Agbor is pound-for-pound one of the most experienced gaffer in Cameroon.

The former Intermediate Lions assistant coach in 2016 and 2018 has been hyper active in the scene, co-coacing Cotonsport after a one-year stay at two-time Elite One champions, UMS Loum in 2022.

The man nicknamed ‘teacher’ by his peers is a believer of football being part of the entertainment industry, and should be played in a lovely way.
