18-year old former AS AWA FC goal-poacher Brenda Tabe Ebika is considered to be the most expensive women’s football player of the year, after her one year deal signature with the Lekie based side.
The 2022 Women’s World Military Games top scorer , last weekend in Yaounde penned for Lekie Ladies a collosal transfer amount, worth 1.4 million CFA plus a bonus of 560,000 CFA, alongside a lodging facility at her disposal.
The former Dream Soccer Academy forward in Mamfe, had left Lekie for AS AWA in 2018,leaving an impressive record of 27 goals in 13 games.
During her three years stay at AS AWA FC, Ebika finished top goal scorer with 50 goals.
Apart from showcasing her huge scoring know-how with Lekie and AS AWA, she has also had a brilliant performance with Cameroon’s under -17 and 20 as well as benefited from a few selections with the senior women’s football national team.
Her all time top scorer status at AS AWA, had earned her a nomination for the 2022 FECAFOOT Ballon D’Or. Likewise the Guinness Super League Award slated for Thursday, November 3,2022 at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel.
