According to Afriksportsmagazine.Com Ghana Premier League will be increased from 18 to 20 teams.
Just after a season trading 18-team league, the feeling and reality of bringing 20 teams to play is high though it needs process. Deep research has been done and reveals that, the next League season will have 20 teams participating in the elite Division.
While this proposal and imminent increase is expected to go to Congress for ratification, it is believed that some clubs are cementing the work down there for it proper laid-out before Congress so it receives little resistance.
The backbone to increase from 18 to 20 teams is to among other reasons make the league autonomous and not take the shy and beauty of the game away. The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League ended on Sunday with two power house teams suffering relegation.

Not only the Dansoman based outfit but the Tampico Boys, Inter Allies FC – Huge contributer of the various National teams also got slapped with demotion after placing bottom of the 18 team league.
After the 2019 GFA Presidential election, the FA President and his team of Executive Council Members increased the league from 16 to 18 teams to end any legal battle against the association since King Faisal and Great Olympics were battling them in Court.
The decision reinstated Accra Great Olympics and King Faisal into the Premier League so that both can drop their legal battle with the Ghana FA.
Clubs by the directives of the Ghana Football Association will go on Congress to decide on the date of the 20 teams league.
