The Cameroon women’s handball national team have defeated Congo-Brazzaville , by 27-25 to pick up a second consecutive ticket finals in the 2022 African Women’s Handball Championship in Dakar.

Cameroon obtained her qualification ticket for the finals on Thursday,November 17, 2022 at the Dakar Arena.

Sifa’n Kongyuy, Petronie Ateba and mates came across their Congolese counter parts, on several occasions via the following scores ; 23-26 and 24-26.

But the experienced and well coached Cameroonian side, through the prowess of Paola Ebanga, succeeded in portraying a scintillating and tactical display at end time with a 27-25 as final score.

The lionesses shall lock horns against Angola in the finals, on Saturday, November 19,2022 in Dakar.With the girls of coach Serge Christian Guebogo to come with a revengeful spirit on Angola.

The Cameroonian side are considered among, the favorites in the Dakar handball Jamboree. After the clean sheet records against Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Senegal, DR Congo and Congo.

The Vice-African champions are vying for their first handball trophy, after the fiasco of 2021 in Yaounde against Angola.
