AmaZulu FC assistant coach Siyabonga Nomvethe believes up and coming defender Sibusiso Mabiliso will shine at his former club Kaizer Chiefs.
The 22-year-old is believed to have signed for the Soweto giants following the expiry of his contract at Usuthu last month, as he also bade the club farewell.
The young left-back featured 26 times for AmaZulu last season and provided two assists as Benni McCarthy’s side clinched second spot on the DStv Premiership table.
Though nothing has been confirmed by Amakhosi yet, the Bafana Bafana defender is expected to be unveiled in Naturena soon.
“Ya, he’s a young boy that matured not so long ago. He’s full of talent and he works very hard. He pulls up his ‘socks’ in every match he plays in,” Nomvethe tells Afriksportsmagazine.com.
“As a young player, he fitted perfectly here at AmaZulu. He performed, he was playing week-in, week-out, so I don’t think he can encounter any problems [at Chiefs] because the level is the same and he will be playing with people like him and in the same league.
“It’s not like he is now going to a difficult stage. As long as he produces the same performances he produced here at AmaZulu, he will definitely get game time.
“He can mark, he can attack; he never gives up. I can’t even rate him because he’s good in everything.”
‘Bhele’ also offered a few words for Chiefs fans regarding what they can expect from the budding youngster.
“What I can tell them is, this a defender not a goal scorer. What’s important for a defender is to stop the opposition from scoring. He must just play his part at the back.”
