Benjamin Afutu has agreed to personal terms with 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League (GPL) champions Accra Hearts of Oak concerning his contract extension.
The dynamic midfielder has almost a month left on his current deal with the Phobians and has taken a long time to decide whether to stay with the Premier League champions or not.
Benjamin Afutu who joined Hearts from Karela before the start of the 2018 GPL season has been instrumental this season for the Phobians during the 2020/2021 season playing twenty-nine (29) matches scoring five (5) goals.
Accra Hearts of Oak started negotiations to extend the midfielder’s contract when he received a call up to the local Black Stars team but the player was said to not be happy with the terms and conditions of the deal.
However, information reaching summernewsonline.com shows that the midfielder has requested a one-year contract extension but the club has managed to get him pinned down to a two-year deal with bonuses.
