Fabrice Ondoa has extended his stay at Latvian first-tier side FK Auda for another season. The goalie finally accepted to renew his contract after talks with the club’s executives.
The 27-year-old Cameroonian international who has amasses 44 caps, winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017, and ending as the tournament’s best goalkeeper carried Auda to unprecedented glory in the Latvian cup last term.
In the 2013/14 season, Ondoa speared Barcelona’s youth team to triumph in the UEFA Youth League.
Before joining Auda ahead of the 2022 season, Ondoa played for Barcelona B, Pobla Mafumet, Gimnàstic, Sevilla B, Alavés (all Spain), Oostende (Belgium) and Istra 1961 (Croatia).
Last year, as a member of Auda, Ondoa played 30 matches of the Premier League, as well as played 4 matches of high repute in the team’s run to its first silverware.
The skipper is expected to join the general group on Friday in Cyprus, where Auda will hold a pre-season training camp.
