Raja of Casablanca won a ticket to the quarter-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF champions league, following a 3-1 victory in Bamako over Horoya on Tuesday afternoon.
Goals, cards and excitement characterised the encounter which ended with four goals.
A brace from Walid Sebbar at the 6th and 63rd minute, coupled with Mohamed Nahiri’s 42nd minute strike gifted Raja qualification, despite two red cards that marked this game, the first being that of Horoya goalkeeper, Moussa Camara (26th) and Raja’s the Jamal Harkas in first half borrowed time (45 + 4).
Wiith 12 points to their credit, Raja confirmed a quarter-final slot.
Though Horoya was able to reduce the gap through Pape Abdou N’Diaye in the 70th minute, it only counted as a mere consolation.
