Cameroon number one goalkeeper Andre Onana has retired from international football, with the Cameroon national senior men’s football team at 26.
The former Ajax Amsterdam keeper officially made public ,the news about his international retirement, on Friday, December 23,2022 via his tweeter handle.
The Inter Milan stopper holds a six years stint with the Indomitable lions of Cameroon, with a 34 caps participation in the major continental competitions.
« I will continue to support as a fan, just as the more than 27 million Cameroonians, do at every match. I can only thank all those who trusted me and believed that l could add and contribute to this team« .
Onana’s abrupt departure from the lions den, is link with the lack of communication flow between him and head coach Rigobert Song, during the 22nd edition of the Qatar World Cup after the Cameroon vs Switzerland game.
